一天下午喂鸟的时候，我们惊奇地发现公园后的一片野地被2米高的网围了起来。附近立了一块牌子：城市森林修复工程，出资两千五百多万加币。第二天，在更远的地方，我们发现又有一片地也被围了起来。地上的杂草已经被铲平，放眼望去，像是一片覆盖着绿色稻草的田野。周围的树木和灌木没有受到影响，依旧安然地伫立在大地上。原来这是加拿大“森林修复工程”。
While feeding the birds one afternoon, we were surprised to find that a field behind the park was fenced off by a 2m high net. A sign was erected nearby: Urban Forest Restoration Project, with an investment of more than 25 million Canadian dollars. The next day, further afield, we found that another field was also fenced off. The weeds on the ground had been shoveled, and it looked like a field covered with green straw. The surrounding trees and shrubs were not affected, and still stood safely on the ground. It turns out that this is Canada's "Forest Restoration Project".
