在古时候，孩子们从小就被教导要诚实、善良、做个好孩子，甚至三岁小孩都懂得“诸恶莫作，诸善奉行”的道理。他们不需要问为什么，因为人人都是这样做的，至少绝大部分人都是如此。然而，在当今社会，不仅孩子们不明白这些道理，很多成年人，甚至老人，也未必懂得，更不要说照着做了。
我们在网络上也经常看到一些问题，比如“为什么要做个好人”“为什么要善良”等等。这些问题并非没有答案，但它们本不该存在。做个好人、善良、诚实，不需要理由，不需要解释，我们就应该自然而然地去遵循，因为这些本就是做人最基本的准则！
